009 4mm scale 0-4-0 Byers geared loco
An unusual prototype running on a very small motored chassis. I built this for a little project but to be honest I lost interest. The prototype was very interesting and this is a model of a can less version. Similar designs can be found in 16mm scale. The locomotive does run and goes like a rocket, so probably needs a resister fitting. I have balanced it out so gentle use of a controller will allow the locomotive to run backwards and forwards. These chassis are available and cost around 35.00 each.
The locomotive has been painted and weathered to resemble a well used locomotive.
