This is a well built kit from nu cast sadly no longer available. Made from white metal it represents a Hughes large boilered goods loco dating from 1910 of which 28 entered BR but lasted only until 1951.This has been well put together from what was a fairly crude kit. This loco has cab windows fitted-some did not. The older kits were fitted, I believe, with a solid brass chassis although this item has been refitted with an open frame chassis as per the photo. It runs well in both directions albeit a bit noisy. The item is possibly a bit grubby, I like to think weathered. I note the tender wheels are plastic-they could be converted to metal-but this is not necessary. At present it has 3 link couplings.Please note I am not a dealer but merely someone that occasionally has to reduce what has become already an oversize collection-choosing ones to go is always difficult. I have 2 other examples already and hope that re allocation will give this loco some of the increased running time that it deserves. I have tried to describe the loco as accurately as I can. It is incidentally a heavy loco.Selling outside the UK by negotiation only
