Very sadly – I posted this loco as a reasonable runner – I did so on behalf of a “friend” who gave me a full description of the item.
Sadly – what I was told was completely wrong !!!!
THIS LOCO IS A NON-RUNNER – AND THEREFORE SOLD AS SPARES OR REPAIR.
00 gauge B.R. 4-6-2 Standard Brit – 70004 SPARES OR REPAIR.
After receiving several messages regarding this item – it appears to be somewhat of a ‘hybrid’ kit !!!!
I am no expert on this – so I will state what has been suggested to me !!!
It appears to be a HORNBY loco – with a kit built tender, that should drive said loco.
The tender does NOT run at all. (I am not expert enough to find what the fault is, or may be !!)
The loco and tender are weathered – and I have to say, cosmetically – it really looks superb !
So – – it would be ideal for a static depot loco, scrap line loco – or one to be repaired.
HENCE THE LOW PRICE I AM NOW ASKING.
